Heavin Forge sign hanging, 2001.

Phone 082 442 4840 for Heather and 074 892 9359 for Kevin, (reception not great, sorry, but you can send a WhatsApp). During working hours only, weekdays 8 am to 5 pm, Central African Time.

Email is our preferred method of contact as we often cannot hear the phone above the sound of the workshop machines and our cell phone reception is not great.

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG AND PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA

  • Please note that Google Maps has us correctly situated but Garmin waypoints and many other GPS systems are incorrect, so please either enter the GPS coordinates or follow the written instructions.
  • The nearest landmark is the steeple of the NG Kerk in Belfast.
  • (From Jhb) Take the N12 towards Witbank
(From Pretoria) Take the N4 towards Witbank/Nelspruit
  • Go through the tollgate on the N4 near Middleburg (just under R100 at the moment)
  • About 95 kms on, turn left off the N4 where the sign says Dullstroom/Belfast/Carolina/Emakhazeni R33, then
  • Turn left towards Belfast (Emakhazeni)/Dullstroom
  • Go under the railway line
  • You will pass the police station on the right and then “the mall” with a big Spar store
  • When you get to the intersection at Duggan Road, turn left, you will see the Shell Garage and Kentucky Fried Chicken diagonally opposite each other
  • Carry on past our high school and watch out for the speed humps
  •  When you get to a T-Junction, turn right into Van Kraayenburg St – now Lizana Magagula
  • We are number 68, just about 1 km down on the left-hand side
  • You will go through an avenue of oak trees and then you will see our high, ranch style, security fence with the “Heavin Forge” sign hanging over it
  • GPS  25.6902° S, 30.0301° E
  • Please drive carefully as our town has prize-winning, traffic-calming potholes, goats and cows!  If you see anyone driving straight, they are drunk!
  • Avoid travelling at night, as people are placing spikes on the N4 to hijack and rob travellers.
